NCOTA Seeks Nominees for OT Position on Licensure Board (NCBOT)

The North Carolina Occupational Therapy Practice Act obligates the NC Occupational Therapy Association (NCOTA) to seek and nominate candidates to serve on the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT, the licensure board).  NCOTA is currently seeking qualified occupational therapists who are interested in serving on the NCBOT for a four year term, October 2010-2014.  For complete information, please click on the below link.

November 2010 Board Meeting Date Changes

The date of the November 2010 Board meeting has been changed from November 15th to November 22nd.  The meeting will still be held at 9:00 am in the large conference room of the Wachovia Capitol Center, 150 Fayetteville St., Raleigh, NC.

Proposed Rule Changes - Public Hearing in January 2010

 

The NC Board of Occupational Therapy will hold a public hearing at 11:00 AM on January 25, 2010 to receive public comment on an amendment to Rule 21 NCAC 38 .0302.  The proposed amendment can be found in Volume 24, Issue 13 of the NC Register after January 4, 2010 or can be downloaded in PDF format by clicking here. Rule .0304 was approved by the Rules Review Commission at their December meeting.  The new Rule becomes effective January 1, 2009.  The text of Rule .0304 can be downloaded as a PDF by clicking here.

The changes in Rule .0201 are pending review by the legislature.

The North Carolina Occupational Therapy Practice Act passed the legislature
and was signed by Governor Easley on September 22, 2005.  The Practice Act
as amended may be viewed online at the North Carolina Legislative Site.
