Continuing Competence  Information

Continuing competence activities must be complete by May 31 of the renewal year.  Continuing competence activities must be related to roles and responsibilities in occupational therapy and must serve to protect the public by enhancing the licensee's continuing competence.

For the 2007-2008 renewal period OTs are required to submit 15 points and OTAs must submit 10 points.

Effective for the renewal period that begins July 1, 2008 occupational therapists and occupation therapy assistants applying for license renewal shall both document having earned a minimum of 15 points for approved continuing competence activities.
